Ashfield Amateur Swim Club Inc (AASC) is a not for profit, incorporated, family oriented community swimming club which is solely volunteer run. The Club started 55 years ago and has members aged from 2 to 65. AASC is an inclusive swimming club that offers a friendly, welcoming environment for all members and potential members who can “come and try”. Some members are multi-generational – grandparents, parents and children.

AASC provides benefits for the local community including: 

• Community based swimming race based program
• regular structured physical activity through swimming
• opportunity to set up good exercise habits for life 
• community based social activity
• Swim and Survive program
• CPR
• Focus on improving personal best and personal fitness
• Support and encouragement of swimming
• Meets Saturdays at Ashfield Aquatic Centre 7 am – 9 am October to end of March

Through membership of the club there are many other benefits including community connection, participation, teamwork, self-improvement through personal bests, a sense of belonging and identity development as healthy and connected – essential for children and youth as well as mature club members.
